Many of us carry patterns of pleasing and performing that quiet true needs and desires. This discussion opens a safe, supportive space for honest conversation, where reflections, struggles, and insights can be shared. In an intimate group of about 20, we’ll lean into open-hearted sharing and collective reflection, an invitation to dare to be ourselves, to show up, be seen, and express authentically.
Together we’ll explore some gentle pointers to notice possible people-pleasing or performer patterns:
- Often taking the reliable, in-control role; adapting to others; saying yes when the body/mind leans no (and vice versa); uncertainty about personal wants and needs.
- Striving for perfection to avoid mistakes and potential comments, judgment, criticism, rejection, or abandonment.
- The prospect of being disliked or judged prompting quick adaptation to win approval.
- Difficulty asking for needs to be met or receiving compliments, help, or gifts.
- Frequent thought loops about how to fix things or make them perfect.
- A tendency to overgive or sacrifice personal needs, sometimes with an unspoken hope others will do the same.
- A feeling of self becoming blurred or lost within relationships.
✨These aren’t labels or diagnoses, just starting points for kind, curious reflection.
Let’s move past the fear of taking up space and into honest, authentic expression. Together we’ll make room for vulnerability, humor, and truth, a gentle step away from people-pleasing and toward standing fully in our power.
Host
Therese Fallentin is a coach, and space-holder who dares you to drop the masks and meet yourself, raw, honest, and unapologetic. With her, transformation comes through presence, curiosity, honesty, play, compassion, patience and daring to live fully. She creates spaces where people find safety and confidence in the vulnerable acts of showing up in authentic expression, non-violent communication, innovative creation, trauma healing and (self) leadership.
She bridges two worlds: the structured, results-driven arena of business and the intuitive realm of personal growth. Through talks, workshops, and her podcast Magefølelsen aka The Gutfeeling, she opens doors into conversations we often avoid, about people-pleasing, performance (anxiety), shame, fear, and desire.
