SNAPSHOTS #7: Transition through Transmission with Innavisions Opening

You’re invited to the opening of Transition through Transmission, a new exhibition with Innavisions, on Friday, September 18th 2026, from 6pm at Metro54.

At the centre of the exhibition and public program is the question of how knowledge, memories and cultural expression are passed on to the next generation of makers, thinkers, activists and youth within Black diasporic lifeworlds. In Transition through Transmission, Innavisions, together with invited guests, explores new dimensions within music by connecting with spiritual, cosmic and African (diasporic) forms of knowledge. Consisting of two audiovisual installations, a series of works on paper, two video works and a spatial installation. Together, these works form an environment in which visitors are invited to experience sound and image not separately, but as connected forms of cultural transmission.

His practice is shaped by the ongoing search for other ways of understanding space, time and creativity. This search for alternative forms of consciousness and expression strongly resonates within Innavisions’ practice.

About Innavisions

Innavisions is a visual artist, sound artist and DJ whose practice emerges from an ongoing search for circularity as a source of creativity. His work develops from a deep attention to the relationship between time, space and sound. The night in particular is an important moment of concentration and imagination for him, a period in which space and time become more abstract and in which a strong connection with music and surroundings emerges.
