Listening Session w/ Alex Rita & Rohan Ayinde, as part of SNAPSHOTS #7: Transition through Transmission

Join us on November 6th for Slow Jams, a Listening Session hosted by DJ and host of Calms Roots; Alex Rita, joined by Rohan Ayinde as part of our running exhibition Snapshots 7: Transition Through Transmission by Innavisions. Together, we’ll listen to the space between beats, below the surface of what is heard – exploring what it means to slow down, and how rest manifests through Black sonic methodologies. Through Rita’s musical eclecticism and Ayinde’s poetics, we’ll gather together for an evening of Black ambient sound. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Alex Rita and Rohan Ayinde are frequent artistic collaborators known for their blended DJ and poetry projects, sound meditations, and their work on the Calm Roots radio show on NTS.
