"Inspiring Scenes"
In this workshop, learn to make a platform for every scene that will inspire your scene partner to want to be on stage with you, and your audience to want to know what will happen, through physical scene starts that anyone can do well. Have intent at all times, whilst staying in the moment, to look in total control, yet always making unexpected discoveries. Separate the sections and timing of individual scenes and long-form stories, and efficiently use moments of silence or awkwardness, to make choices that cause every scene to matter. Feel good about every scene you play :)
Level: anyone with fundamental improv experience.

Nick Byrne is the Artistic Director of Australia's International Festival of Improvisation, Improvention, and of the premier improvisation theatre company in that nation's capital. An actor, musician, and director, on stage, screen, and airwaves, for his entire career, Nick now travels the globe, teaching workshops and performing as a guest at festivals and for individual theatre companies. He has also worked to train and motivate Olympic athletes, United Nations Peacekeepers, and folks just like you. He is passionate about people, their happiness, and performance.
