On 19 June at 7pm, Arc Space welcomes Max Medalye — singer, songwriter, lyricist, guitarist and keyboard player (yes, he somehow does all of that).
Max’s music blends indie rock, Britpop, alternative pop and melodic rock. If you love The Beatles, Blur and Oasis, and your playlists also include Arctic Monkeys or Talking Heads, this one’s probably for you. Put simply: emotional, melodic and energetic songs with a lot of heart.
Over the years, Max has been involved in a range of exciting projects. Back in Moscow, he fronted the English-language indie rock band Milkmanns, who performed alongside acts such as Brainstorm. He also played guitar in UUU — a project created by Artem Kritsin, guitarist of Mumiy Troll. After moving to Israel, Max launched the pop-rock trio Medalye, which eventually helped him secure a UK Global Talent visa.
On the evening of 19 June, Max will perform a selection of his best songs — but that’s not all. The audience will also be invited to take part in a small songwriting workshop, where together you’ll create a song from scratch, arrange it, and even record it live.
