Before Budapest became the grand imperial capital we know today, there was the ancient town of Pest, with its complex history layered within its medieval walls. Although much of old Pest dissolved in the grand designs of the nineteenth century, it can still emerge before our eyes—if you know where to look.
On this architectural walk, you'll venture behind the façades—both figuratively and literally—to discover the other city—lost city of Pest.
