Grieving to Wholeness

Vrijdag 6. juni om 19:00 - 22:15

M.Y.journey, Den Haag

As women, we carry unique life stories within our bodies. These stories are shaped by our own experiences and the cellular memories of the women who came before us—the ones who carried us in their wombs before we were born.

Just like our ancestors, we all experience loss in our lives. Whether we are aware of it or not, we are connected to the grief that has existed before us. The burdens we inherit can continue to influence us today, reminding us to embrace what was abandoned.

In our western fast-paced culture, we have lost trust in grief and overlook the healing power of grief. This lack of understanding can prevent us from using grief as a path to growth and wholeness.

Grief is the most natural response to loss. It calls us to feel deeply not only pain, but also the pleasures and joys of life. By avoiding grief, we numb pain and sadness. But as a result, we also deem our capacity to experience joy.
Grief is a deeply human experience that profoundly affects our lives.

We honor our joys and sorrows by facing grief with love and compassion.

We are committed to creating supportive spaces where the sacred nature of grief is welcomed and honored.

We warmly invite you to join us in a safe and nurturing space to explore grief alongside yoga teacher and woman facilitator Kinga Sidor and death doula Liza Berenfeld.

IN THIS GATHERING:
1. You will have the opportunity to visualize your history of loss & do a powerful grief-moving ritual.
2. Cultivate a compassionate relationship with grief through theory, movement, embodiment practices & sharing.
3. Receive guidance and tools to further explore your pieces of the grief puzzle, with proper after-care.

FOR WHO:
This gathering is for every woman who has ever experienced any kind of loss and is seeking space to explore it in a community setting.

PLEASE NOTE:
• This gathering is not a group therapy.
• If you've experienced a loss in the past six months, it might be the most vulnerable and exhausting time. We all grieve differently; some crave community, some crave solitude. Therefore, please honestly answer those questions to yourself before engaging: 1. Do I have enough energy to go into my grief work deeper now? 2. Will supporting others be beneficial for me now?
• If you have questions or doubts, feel free to contact Liza at [email protected] to discuss if this gathering is for you.
