Ruska Walk in Nuuksio National Park

Ruska is a Finnish term for when the colours of the leaves are changing during the autumn. It’s the season when nature is visibly transforming.

Like the nature around us, so us Muslim Professionals need to be ever changing and evolving.

The natural transformation brought by Ruska makes it a perfect time for us to head out into the forest to find a renewed sense of purpose.

Join us this October in Nuuksio National Park, just an half an hour away from Helsinki, for an autumn ‘Ruska’ walk with Antti Mikael Kangaslahti, the founder of Polku Media, and Ohto Yahya Anttila, to:

* Marvel in the vibrant colours of Ruska and enjoy the calm autumn scenery of Nuuksio National Park

* Hear stories from Antti from his time in England as a Muslim Professional, balancing his faith and work during his career and how he has now transitioned back to Finland to establish Polku Media

This is an experience you don’t want to miss!

We will meet at Haukkalammen iso pysäköintialue at 12 and from there we will walk Haukankierros a route that is roughly 4 km. Afterwards we gather around a campfire for good discussion, snack and drinks.

How to get there?

Easiest way to get to Haukkalampi is by car. By public transportation, Bus 245A is your choice. It leaves from stop right next to Espoonkeskus train station and takes you 2,5 km walk away from our meeting point.

Antti Mikael Kangaslahti

Antti has recently moved back to Finland after spending nearly 20 years abroad living and working in the UK. He spent 15 years in London’s creative agencies as a digital and customer experience strategist working on many of the world’s leading brands. Antti currently runs his own business, Finntastico, offering strategic consultancy for brands. He is also the founder of Polku Media, a new platform dedicated to creating refreshing experiences and content for your path for spiritual growth and renewal based on traditional Islamic wisdom. Ohto Yahya Anttila

Ohto is a math student at Tampere University, currently working on his final MA thesis. He is a keen hiker having done lots of treks in the beautiful national parks of Finland. Ohto will join us to help get the fire started and to ensure that we stay on the right path.
