SINGING LYRICS

Is a hands-on workshop where lyrics are used as a medium to create a deeper connection to your instrument voice, singing and performance. With practical exercises participants learn how lyrics won’t hinder your vocal performance and how lyrics can enhance your vocal performance. We train the connection between pronunciation, intention and emotion. Let’s work on vocal and interpretation exercises by playing with lyrics.

• How to prepare and memorize lyrics for a concert or studio session.

• Playing with the storyline in order to make it fully yours

• Interpretation

• Fitting lyrics into a demanding melody

• Regulating intensity in emotion, melody and groove through enunciation

BIO

JUTTA ANNALA is a producer/artist, songwriter, and vocal coach with over 20 years of experience, and the author of the singing guide Pop-laulajan arkipäivä – solistin opas (2007). As a solo artist and producer, she has released two EPs and an album, and draws on her personal journey overcoming panic and nervous system overload to support authentic artistic expression.
