Bare Gesture explores the body as a quiet form of expression.
Before words appear, we speak through gestures, posture, tension and distance. The figures in these works exist in a vulnerable and open state — somewhere between strength and fragility, presence and withdrawal. At the heart of the exhibition is the idea that vulnerability is not weakness, but honesty, courage, and the ability to be truly oneself.
Artist Tania Potapenko works in a figurative style with elements of contemporary expressionism. Through the human figure, she explores emotional tension, inner unrest, vulnerability and the search for meaning. Her works reflect an ongoing dialogue with faith, doubt and human fragility.

Bare Gesture – Paljas ele tutkii kehoa hiljaisena ilmaisun muotona.
Ennen sanoja puhumme eleiden, asennon, jännitteen ja etäisyyden kautta. Näiden teosten hahmot ovat samaan aikaan herkkiä ja vahvoja, läsnä mutta hieman vetäytyviä. Näyttelyn ytimessä on ajatus siitä, että haavoittuvuus ei ole heikkoutta, vaan rehellisyyttä, rohkeutta ja uskallusta olla aidosti oma itsensä.
Tania Potapenko työskentelee figuratiivisen taiteen ja nykyekspressionismin välimaastossa. Ihmishahmon kautta hän tutkii sisäisiä jännitteitä, herkkyyttä, epävarmuutta ja merkityksen etsimistä. Hänen teoksensa käsittelevät uskoa, epäilyä ja ihmisyyden haurautta.
