ENM Community Circle // 06.10 - 21.10 - 16.11
Curious about ethical non-monogamy? Already practicing ENM and looking for a space to connect, reflect, or hear from others?
After hosting many panels and group discussions on ENM, covering different topics and hearing your experiences, questions and perspectives, we want to shape the space differently. This time, rather than setting the topic in advance, we want the conversation to be shaped by you, your questions, experiences, curiosities, and whatever feels relevant to explore together.
ENM Community Circle is a small, facilitated gathering for up to 20 people to have open and thoughtful conversations about ethical non-monogamy. You’re welcome whether you’re experienced with ENM, just beginning to explore it, happily monogamous and curious, or somewhere in between.
There is no set agenda and no expectation that you need to speak. We invite you to bring a question, story, experience, or topic that’s on your mind. You can ask the group for perspectives or support, share something you’ve learned or struggled with, or simply listen and learn from other people’s experiences.
Conversations might touch on topics such as jealousy, trust, communication, grief and endings, relationship safety, coming out, boundaries, changing relationship agreements, or different forms of ENM. We’ll also have a few prompts ready in case the group needs help getting the conversation started.
What kind of space are we trying to create?
We want the circle to be a place for curiosity, honesty and mutual respect, rather than a place where anyone has to defend their relationship choices or convince others that there is one “right” way to have relationships.
A few principles will guide the conversation:
- Listen with attention and curiosity. Different people can have very different experiences and needs.
- Advice is by invitation. Before offering solutions, check whether someone is looking for advice, perspectives, support, or simply to be heard.
- Speak from your own experience. We encourage sharing what has worked - or not worked - for you rather than prescribing what others should do.
- Make room for others. With a small group, we want everyone who wishes to participate to have an opportunity to speak. Please be mindful of how much space you’re taking.
- Respect privacy. Personal stories shared in the circle should be treated with care and discretion.
You don’t need to have everything figured out, and you don’t need to identify as non-monogamous to join.
Come with a question. Come with a story. Come to listen.
Everyone who approaches the conversation with curiosity and respect is welcome.
Hosts
For the past three years, Zoran has been exploring sex-positive spaces and alternative relationship types. This journey became infinitely easier and more fulfilling after discovering the Mashti community, where he connected with others on similar paths, people eager to talk, share experiences, and inspire and support one another. He is passionate about creating psychologically safe spaces where people can be vulnerable, curious, and open with each other, and he brings that energy to his role as a group discussion facilitator at Mashti.
Margherita, a queer woman, has long been passionate about exploring polyamory in all its complexity. She approaches this conversation with curiosity and care, hoping to continue fostering shared spaces where the beauty and struggles of different relationship styles can be explored openly and honestly.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by us.
