A Closer Reading, Writing with the Senses. Facilitated by Radna Rumping
Donderdag 20. november om 19:00 - 21:00
Metro54, Amsterdam
In the days leading up to the final week of the exhibition, this gathering offers a space for reflection — both individual and collective — taking the sculptural installation Daddy Party آن نافه مراد که میخواستم ز بخت درچین زلف آن بت *مشکین کلاله بود as point of departure. The act of composting and decomposing, of working through decay and assembling new entities from fragments, has given rise to a network of sculptures that echoes the artist’s own process of transformation while remaining open to the experiences and interpretations of others.
💧Date: Nov 20
💧Time: 19:00 doors open, start 19:30 sharp (duration: 1,5 hour).
💧Capacity: maximum 20
Participants are invited to approach the work through multiple senses, zooming in on the wounds, cracks, ruptures, sprouts, engravings, shimmers, and stitches that inhabit the installation. Through attentive listening and embodied writing exercises, facilitated by Radna Rumping in collaboration with Chupan Atashi, an intimate dialogue unfolds between visitor and sculpture — allowing space for each participant’s own encounter with the work. A closer reading, writing with the senses.
Come as you are; any writing generated during the workshop can remain private.
Capacity is limited. Make sure to RSVP, and notify us in advance in case you’re unable to attend.
Please note: This gathering takes place in the exhibition space. We regret to say the exhibition space is not wheelchair accessible due to the restrictions of our space.
